About?

AEK Athens is one of the oldest football clubs in Greece, an attribute so proudly imprinted in its team’s visuals, since its founding members were relocated in Athens back in the 1920s. Colors and insignia from the Byzantine Empire are present all those years, so there must be a balance between what’s there and what should be changed.

The main inspiration behind this project has been what the German National Team did in their rebrand, back in 2010 World Cup, when they replaced yellow, one of their national colors, with gold… In national level, that is very, very bold.

A same type of change has been followed for AEK F.C., visualizing not only the team’s rich history, but also the new success story that the team accomplished the past few years.
